Can I get a whoop whoop??!!

I went to a spinning class today with Sam ... and I finished the whole thing. (I wasn't able to totally keep up, but I made it the whole 60 minutes!) And I LIKED it, yay!!

Maybe if I keep that up I'll lose weight and sizes like Sam has. He's lost about 25 lbs. since January and TWO FULL sizes in his jeans/pants. He looks incredible!!!!

Well, it didn’t go so well ….

Zach's first official Tball game did NOT go so well for him. Poor kid cried most of the time (I want my momma!) Slightly embarrassing because none of the other kids were crying. The odd thing is that he's NOT a shy kid. If he is in his element (school, home, MCDONALDS, etc.) he will play with other kids and has NO fear. If he is anywhere near me ... he cries for Mommy. Any ideas how I stop the 'Momma's boy" thing? I'm not THAT easy on him, I mean come on - I had him in a 30 minute time out last week. It started with a 4 minute time out, and every time he kept saying anything or throwing toys from the basket on the floor, it was minutes tacked on. I made him sit there the whole time, and I've been using 1-2-3-and following through on my "threats" of discipline (like no PS3, etc.) So I don't know what else to do. It's obviously my fault??

Today @ the park he kept saying he was afraid. I asked of what he said "everyfing". Hmm. I left after the 1st inning because me being there caused it to be worse unfortunately. Sam said he did hit the ball hard and into the outfield a couple times, and even got a "home run". Pretty exciting, but we'll see how he does next week. I think he just needs to get used to new people, people other than "dad" coaching the team. Or he might be too young for it. I don't know. I hope he ends up liking it because he's SOOOO cute in his baseball uniform.

After I left, Sam said he eventually did better - and by the end was actually having FUN. He loved going to the concession stand to get a "drink" (he picked diet Coke, LOL). That was pretty cool, and he talked about his baseball drink the whole way home.

GO DODGERS!

He wasn’t really happy to bat – but he hit it hard when he did.  He did, however, forget to “run” to 1st base. He walked.

He wasn’t really happy about playing 3rd base either ….

A ball comes his way … and he picks it up ….

And then he decides not to throw it …..

Holding on to the ball … throw it Zach!  No I’ll just drop it right here.

I’ll keep you posted on our progress...hopefully the next games goes better! :)

How tall are you?

I snapped this picture right at the perfect moment. Zach was drawing on the tree with chalk (and yes, I told him not to do that!) and his sister came up and stood by the tree. He said "hey come here" and he pushes her up against the tree and "measures" her. I thought this was so cute!!!!

Take me out to the ballgame ...

Well, my tiny little baby starts TBALL tomorrow. Where the hedoublehockeysticks has the time gone?? He's already done 2 seasons of soccer and now Tball. Apparently football is in the line up for this fall. Like when he starts KINDERGARTEN. Speaking of which ... I hate to brag and all (well, no I don't really) but Zach's teacher said he's one of the brightest kids in her class and he's doing things with numbers that kids are doing in 1st grade. She said he's polite, listens and is a joy to have in her class. *awww* Now if I can just get him to listen at home? ? ?

He had fun at practice....let's see how he does at the game!

Nerbs

Addison loves NERBS. (AKA Nerds!) She is so cute when she says it, we keep asking her what she's eating just to hear her say NERBS instead of NERDS!

Here's some video that will make you laugh. I espeically like the one where she's naming all the treats we have, bunny cookies and cookies with spwinkles and cheese puffs ... you'd think all we did was feed them junk food!

I hope I don't leave my heart in San Francisco!

Yes, we are FINALLY taking the trip that we missed in March of 2004 when we were having complications with Zach's pregnancy. I'm so excited to finally see the GG bridge and we got a really great "last minute" deal - staying at a really great place on Nob Hill. Anyone have some great restaurant suggestions? Preferably with a view of the GG bridge or the coast ....something casual, yet romantic. I'm totally bummed that the photographer, Ashley Forette, whose work I LOVE has moved from San Francisco to Portland. The pictures she does are AMAZING - you can check out: www.ashleyforrette.blogspot.com

We leave Wednesday and come home Sunday (my mom is watching the kids!) Can't wait for a couple days of stress free, work free (and toddler free) days!!! :D

Oh another bit of great news...Kayla got accepted to the UofMinnesota. They had her wait listed, but she got the big news today...she's officially a "gopher"! We're very excited!!

Other than that, I haven't had any real news to report. Pretty slow and quiet days at the Tramontanas. Oh wait...Zach starts Tball on Friday night. He's pretty excited, and he's not bad at all! I can't wait to see his first game....there will be pictures to come on Friday night.

Happy St. Patrick's...

Well, since the kids are 1/4 Irish, we decided to get into the spirit and take them out to dinner on St. Patrick's Day. Zach decided not to smile for any pictures because we wouldn't let him have his Star Wars book. (Jeez!!)

A hairy dillema....

Well, some of you know this, some of you don't....but I decided two weeks ago to go for a "change" and color my hair a different color. Myself. I normally have dark blonde with lighter highlights, but I thought I'd go a little darker, a "shimmery" brown.

So I colored it, and it came out COMPLETELY ORANGE. I should have taken a picture of it for your laughing enjoyment. I've since then gone to the beauty supply store where they've directed me to a product (color) that would take out some of the orange, and so now it's kind of a strawberry-blonde-brown. I don't know what you call it. After the 2nd application (which means I colored my hair 3 times in ONE WEEK) a lot more of the orangish tone went away.

What do you think? Should I go back to my "normal" color or leave this one for awhile?
BEFORE (In Paris a few months ago!)

AFTER (Self portrait today sitting at my desk!)

Anyway, just thought I'd see if anyone has an opinion???

Zach's, ummm, art project?

Zach tells me the other day to close my eyes (he had just gotten home from school) and he always has me close my eyes until he brings out his art projects if I'm downstairs. They are working on cutting in school right now. So when I open my eyes, this was what he created. It's a keynis. I mean a KEY.

Let's just say, I burst out laughing (I mean seriously cracking up) and thankfully my Mother In Law said ... why are you laughing it's a key. I then held it up again for her to see and she said....ohhhhhh. Even Nanny Rachel laughed!

Heeeheee. This one is a keeper!
